Margo Hoff

Margo Hoff (14 June 1910 – 17 August 2008) was an American painter.

[1] Margo Hoff was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1912—the second oldest of eight children.

In New York she moved on to work in collage, initially with paper and later with canvas, for which she became primarily known.

[3] Margo Hoff's figurative approach was deeply inspired by her frequent trips to Mexico in the 1940s, where she witnessed the works of 1930s Mexican painters.

She died in her Manhattan loft, which served as her painting studio and home, at the age of 98.
