Marguerite Dabaie is a Palestinian-American illustrator based in Brooklyn, NY.
[1][2][3] Dabaie is a freelance illustrator and has worked with publications such as the Nib, the Believer, Abrams, and Viking Penguin.
[4][5][6][7] Dabaie also wrote and drew the graphic novel The Hookah Girl, a semi-autobiographical work about Dabaie's childhood as a Christian Palestinian in America.
Told in short stories, the novel is an account of living in two seemingly different yet similar cultures.
