Marhemetabad-e Shomali Rural District (Persian: دهستان مرحمت‌آباد شمالی)[3] is in the Central District[a] of Chaharborj County, West Azerbaijan province, Iran.

[4] The previous capital of the rural district was the village of Chahar Borj-e Qadim,[5] now the city of Chahar Borj.

[6] At the time of the 2006 National Census, the rural district's population (as a part of Marhemetabad District[b] in Miandoab County) was 9,021 in 2,255 households.

[8] The 2016 census measured the population of the rural district as 10,146 in 3,014 households.
