Maria Rosaria Manieri (born 30 May 1943) is an Italian academic and socialist politician.

[1] During her university studies she was the deputy secretary of the Catholic Action student movement.

[1] She was first elected to the Senate for the Italian Socialist Party in 1987.

[3][4] She joined the newly founded Italian Socialist Party in 2007.

[5] Manieri is an associate professor of moral philosophy at the University of Lecce.
