Maria von Heland (born 25 May 1965) is a Swedish film director and screenwriter.

She works in English, German, Swedish and French and is based in Berlin, Germany.

During this time she was an exchange student at the Konrad Wolf Akademie for Film and Television in Potsdam-Babelsberg, Germany.

Since 1997 von Heland has directed or produced over 20 films, TV dramas and series.

[2] She has won 11 industry awards,[3] including the Series Mania International Panorama award 2022[4] for the upcoming Netflix series Sunshine Eyes,[5] and has been nominated three times for the International Emmys.
