The former teacher and school inspector is one of a small but growing number of women reaching higher office across sub-Saharan Africa.
After completing a literary baccalauréat at the CEG Akpakpa Centre in Cotonou (1985), she attended Benin National University's Faculty of Letters, Arts and Human Sciences, where she studied philosophy.
She taught in several schools in the north of the country, including CEG Hubert-Maga and the Notre-Dame de Fatima seminary, as well as in higher education, at the École Normale Supérieure in Porto-Novo.
Her career in education was rounded off by her appointment to the corps of general secondary school inspectors, following her success in the EFPEEN entrance examination.
In 2016, she joined the coalitions of political parties that supported Patrice Talon's presidential run, which he successfully won.
