Mariangela Lisanti

Mariangela Lisanti (born September 2, 1983)[1] is an American theoretical physicist and an associate professor of physics at Princeton University.

[1] She grew up in Pelham Gardens, a neighborhood in The Bronx, New York,[4] and later attended Staples High School in Westport, Connecticut.

[1] In the summer after her junior year of high school, she completed an internship with Mark Reed, a professor of physics at Yale University.

[4] This made her the first student to win first place in both the Intel Science Talent Search and the Siemens Competition and she was included in the MIT Technology Review's TR35 list of the world's top under-35 innovators in 2002, when she was 18 years old.

In 2010, she joined the Princeton University Center for Theoretical Science as an associate research scholar and became an assistant professor in 2013.
