He was a member of the United States men's national artistic gymnastics team and won a silver medal at the 1983 Pan American Games.

[5] At the 1982 U.S. National Sports Festival, McCutcheon was able to perform in front of his brother and sister whom he hadn't seen in over a decade.

[7] Internationally, McCutcheon was a member of the United States men's national artistic gymnastics team.

[8] He represented the United States at the 1983 Pan American Games and won a silver medal.
