Marion McDougall

Marion Eliza King McDougall,[6] née Morris (December 29, 1851[7] – August 18, 1927)[5] was a Canadian politician, philanthropist and relief worker.

McDougall was born in Burnstown, Ontario[3] (then Canada East), the daughter of Peter Morris and Helen Bailey.

She also headed the Belgian relief war work, and was decorated with a medal of honour by the Queen of Belgium.

She died of heart failure in her sleep in 1927 at her home, 230 Chapel Street[5] in Ottawa's Sandy Hill neighbourhood.

Her funeral was held at her daughter's residence at 292 Daly Avenue, and her body was interred at Beechwood Cemetery.
