Marjorie Quarton

Marjorie Quarton (born 1930) is an Irish novelist.

Born Marjorie Smethwick to Standish Smethwick and Dolly Webb in 1930 in Nenagh, County Tipperary.

Quarton did not start her writing career until she was in her 50s.

[5] She has written novels, memoirs, children's books and newspaper articles.

[6][1][7] Quarton was a horse, sheep and cattle breeder and also worked for the National Council for the Blind of Ireland.
