Mark Starowicz, OC OOnt (/ˈstɑːrəwɪts/ STAR-ə-wits;[1] born September 8, 1946) is a Canadian journalist and producer.
He was the executive producer of the 2000 mini-series, Canada: A People's History, and served as head of the CBC Documentary Unit.
[4] He planned to launch his own independent production company, Grand Passage Media, which will specialize in documentaries.
[5] In 2006, he was made a member of the Order of Ontario in recognition for having been "responsible for some of the most influential news programs in Canada".
[6] Starowicz received the Governor General's Performing Arts Award for his lifetime contribution to Canadian broadcasting.
