Marshall is an unincorporated community in Spokane County, Washington, United States.
The surrounding area is mostly flat and rocky, as it is part of the Columbia Plateau, but the community itself is located in a half-mile wide valley carved by Marshall Creek.
Multiple rail tracks pass through Marshall including Union Pacific[4] and the Lakeside Subdivision of the BNSF Railway.
The Portland arm of Amtrak's Empire Builder passes through, but does not stop in, Marshall on its way to and from the Spokane Intermodal Center.
William Marshall, the town's namesake, arrived in 1878 and set up a sawmill two years later, which spurred growth in the community.
