Marsiglia, Davagna

Marsiglia is an Italian village and hamlet (frazione) of the municipality of Davagna in the Province of Genoa, Liguria.

[1] As for a local legend, the village was founded by some people from the French city of Marseille, that in Italian is spoken Marsiglia.

[2] Marsiglia is part of the municipal subdivision of Calvari, that includes the nearby villages of Calvari, Canate and Cavassolo.

[3] It is a hill village located upon the Bisagno river valley, 8 kilometres (5 mi) from Davagna, 14 kilometres (9 mi) from Bargagli and 20 kilometres (12 mi) from the center of Genoa.
