Martha Bohachevsky-Chomiak

Martha Danilovna Bohachevsky-Chomiak was born on 24 June 1938 in Sokal in the Poland, now Lviv Oblast of Ukraine.

In 1960, she graduated from the University of Pennsylvania and in 1961 she graduated from Columbia University with a doctorate in the history of Russian philosophical thought of the nineteenth century.

She was a director of the Fulbright Program at George Washington University.

She is a member of the Shevchenko Scientific Society in Lviv and former vice-president of the Ukrainian National Women's League of America.
