Martti Katajisto

[1] At the beginning of his career, Katajisto became known as a favorite of teenage girls', but later he also appeared in a number of major theatre classics.

During his theatrical career, he was seen in such classics as The Brothers Karamazov, The Ghost Sonata, The Taming of the Shrew, Romeo and Juliet and The Merchant of Venice.

[2] Martti Katajisto's breakthrough in cinema came in 1948 with a Valentin Vaala film Ihmiset suviyössä.

He received critical acclaim in 1993 for his role as a father with dementia in a Veikko Aaltonen film Isä meidän.

He made an ironic portrayal of the man he had worked for decades ago, a Finnish movie mogul T. J.
