Marvin A. Chirelstein (October 8, 1928 - February 16, 2015)[1] was a Professor Emeritus of Law at Columbia Law School, where he taught for nearly 30 years.
Prior to teaching at Columbia, Professor Chirelstein taught for over 15 years at Yale Law School.
[2] After practicing in Washington, D.C. and New York City, he joined the Yale Law School faculty in 1965 and remained at Yale as the William Nelson Cromwell Professor of Law until 1981.
