On November 6, 2018, she was defeated in the general election by Republican State Treasurer Mark Gordon in a landslide.

[1] Throne was born and raised in Campbell County, Wyoming on a ranch on Wild Horse Creek.

[3] Throne was elected to the Wyoming House of Representatives in 2006 and was defeated for reelection by Jared Olsen in 2016.

[4] She ran for Governor of Wyoming in the 2018 election, but was defeated by then-State Treasurer Mark Gordon.

In 2019, Gordon named Throne to a vacancy on the Wyoming Public Service Commission.
