Matthias Doepke is a German economist, currently Professor of Economics at the London School of Economics and Political Science and Gerald F. and Marjorie G. Fitzgerald Professor of Economic History at Northwestern University.
He went on to further study at the University of Chicago and graduated with a Ph.D. in economics in 2000.
[1] The University of California, Los Angeles appointed him as an assistant professor in economics upon graduating from Chicago.
[2][3][4] Doepke is an editor of the Review of Economic Dynamics and served as its editor-in-chief from 2013 to 2017.
