May Gorslin Preston Slosson (September 10, 1858 – November 26, 1943) was an American educator and suffragist.
[4] After obtaining her PhD she became a professor of Greek at Hastings College in Nebraska, and was later Assistant Principal at Sabetha High School in Kansas.
Their son Preston William Slosson, born in Laramie in 1892, went on to have a long career as professor of History at the University of Michigan.
[2][11] After her husband’s death, while living in Michigan with her son Preston, May Preston Slosson frequently attended the Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church as well as the predominantly white Baptist church nearby.
She was an active supporter of the Ann Arbor Dunbar Community Center while living in Michigan.
