It is part of the Maypearl Independent School District located in west central Ellis County.
In 2015, the school was rated "Met Standard" by the Texas Education Agency .
This was to make way for the 1998 additions which doubled the buildings size by adding a cafetorium, counseling office, 2 more science labs, a band hall, several classrooms and renovations to the library.
The Maypearl Panthers compete in these sports - [3] Cross Country, Volleyball, Football, Basketball, Golf, Tennis, Track, Softball, and Baseball.
