McArthur is a census-designated place (CDP) in Shasta County, California, United States.

McArthur is a small ranching community, located 4 mi east of Fall River Mills.

[3] According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 1.0 square mile (2.6 km2), 98.56% of it land and 1.44% of it water.

24 households (18.9%) were made up of individuals, and 15 (11.8%) had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.

There were 143 housing units at an average density of 140.8 per square mile (54.4/km2), of which 95 (74.8%) were owner-occupied, and 32 (25.2%) were occupied by renters.
