McClusky, North Dakota

McClusky is a city in Sheridan County, North Dakota, United States.

It is the closest town to the geographical center of North Dakota, which lies approximately five miles to the southwest.

[7] The city was named for William Henderson McClusky, an early settler.

The Red River Valley and Western Railroad ran to McClusky and further west until the early 1990s, with formal abandonment of the rail line occurring in 2000.

North Dakota Highway 200 which runs through downtown is popular with cross-country cyclists.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 0.39 square miles (1.01 km2), all land.
