Matiar Rahman Howlader is a Bangladeshi academic and a former vice chancellor of Sylhet Agricultural University.
[3] Howlader finished his SSC from Fulhata High School and his HSC from Govt.
[3] He is the founder of Gonotantrik Sikkhok Parishad, the pro-Awami League teachers association.
[3] From 16 March 2015 to December 2018, Howlader served as the director of Student Counseling and Guidance of Sylhet Agricultural University.
[3] In April 2022, teachers at Sylhet Agricultural University protested against Howlader for allegedly "misbehaving" with two of their colleagues.
