Meauzac (French pronunciation: [mozak]; Occitan: Meusac) is a commune in the Tarn-et-Garonne department in the Occitanie region in southern France.
Meauzac has a vivid history spanning from the Roman era to the modern day.
[3] In May 1369, the English arrived at Meauzac and besieged the castle.
After negotiations took place, Meauzac decreed it would pledge allegiance to the Prince of Wales as its Lord.
Upon this decision, the English left 40 men-at-arms and 20 archers, who defended the town for 20 years.
