Megan Walch

Megan Walch (born Tasmania 1967) is a contemporary Australian painter.

Walch graduated from the University of Tasmania with a Bachelor of Fine Arts with Honors, 1989 and was the recipient of an Anne and Gordon Samstag Scholarship in 1994.

[1][2] She completed a Master of Fine Arts at the San Francisco Art Institute, California, 1997, attending the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture in Maine in the summer of 1996.

[3] In 1998 she received a grant of a studio for twelve months in The Marie Walsh Sharpe Art Foundation's Space Program in Manhattan.

Exhibitions include: Walch’s art work has been influenced by residencies in Australia Council for the Arts and Asialink overseas studios at the Taipei National University of the Arts in 2002, Khon Kaen University in North Eastern Thailand in 2004 and Tokyo, Japan in 2014.
