Melchior de Lisle (22 February 1908-26 August 1977) was a French entomologist.
A biography was written by Jean-Pierre Lacroix[1] In 1933 he marries Christiane Frommer who will hold in Paris a renowned music lounge.
In Cameroon he manages works of infrastructure (bridges),[3] on returning to Paris he is a headmaster of an engineering school.
[4] During his stay in Cameroon, he is interested in cetonids, the customs of which he observes and he describes new forms or new subspecies.
