Following the release of their last extended play, Remember Alderaan?, Dogleg began extensively touring across their home state of Michigan and across the American Midwest in promotion of their first two EPs.

Subsequently, the band signed in 2019, with Triple Crown Records, and began working on a full-length studio album in the summer and fall of 2019.
