Melody McCray-Miller (November 18, 1956) is an American politician from the state of Kansas.
[1] Her father was Billy McCray, a longtime state legislator who died in 2012.
[2] Prior to her election to the House, McCray-Miller served as a Wichita city commissioner and on the local school board.
In 2023, she filed to run for the at-large seat on the District 259 school board in Wichita.
[3] She advanced from the five-candidate primary on August 1, 2023, with 54% of the vote, more than 30 points ahead of second-place finisher Brent T. Davis, who will join the November runoff for the seat.
