Michael D. Biddiss

Michael Denis Biddiss (born 1942) is emeritus professor of history at the University of Reading.

[1] He was educated at St Joseph's Academy, Blackheath, and Queens' College, Cambridge, where he received a first in Part II of the historical tripos in 1964.

He has been professor of history at the University of Reading since 1979 (emeritus since 2004), and was dean of letters and social sciences from 1982 to 1985.

[3] He specialises in the history of the development of racist ideology.
