Michael Gage (politician)

Michael Gage (May 1, 1945 – August 23, 2021) was an American politician who served as a member of the California State Assembly for the 8th district from December 6, 1976, to November 30, 1980.

After graduating from Napa High School in 1963, he served in the United States Army for three years.

[2] Gage began his career as a staff director for the California State Senate Democratic Caucus.

From 1987 to 1990, Gage served as deputy mayor of Los Angeles under Tom Bradley.

[4] From 1992 to 1999, he was the president of CALSTART, a non-profit clean energy company based in Pasadena, California.
