Miechów [ˈmjɛxuf] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Kazanów, within Zwoleń County, Masovian Voivodeship, in east-central Poland.
[1] It lies approximately 2 kilometres (1 mi) north-east of Kazanów, 12 km (7 mi) south-west of Zwoleń, and 109 km (68 mi) south of Warsaw.
In 1566, the adjacent town of Kazanów was founded by the decree of King Sigismund II Augustus on the premises of Miechów, when its heir was Marcin Kazanowski.
