Miguel García Franco

At the age of 16 he studied at the Pontifical Pius Latin College in Rome.

He received his doctorate in Philosophy and Theology from the Pontifical Gregorian University in 1931.

He served as bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Mazatlán, Mexico, from 1959 to 1981.

Approximately 35 thousand people received the bishop from the Mazatlán Airport, at that time it was located in the current facilities of the Autonomous University of Sinaloa, and followed him to the Cathedral.

His remains are buried inside the chapel of Guadalupe in the Cathedral Basilica of Mazatlán.
