Edward Michael Eden (born May 22, 1949) is an American former Major League Baseball (MLB) infielder who played for the Atlanta Braves in 1976 and the Chicago White Sox in 1978.
Eden has the distinction of being the only major leaguer born in Fort Clayton, a former US military base on the Pacific side of the Panama Canal.
[3][4] Signed by the San Francisco Giants in 1972, Eden was acquired by the Atlanta Braves in 1976 as part of a five-player trade.
In two major league seasons, Eden posted a .080 batting average (2-for-25) and scored a run in 15 games.
Eden married Lorraine Hey of New York in August 1980 while he was playing for the Rochester Red Wings.
