Mike O'Hara (born c. 1946) is a retired American sportswriter and columnist for The Detroit News.
He covered the Detroit Lions NFL football team for a total of 47 years.
O’Hara began as a copy boy with The Detroit News in 1966 and in 1967 he was promoted to the position of sports writer.
He did not attend college until the 1990s when he graduated from Wayne State University in Detroit.
