Michael Rendell (born 1944) is a British-born Falkland Islands politician and former Royal Marine who served as a Member of the Legislative Assembly for the Camp constituency from 2005 until 2009.
[1] Rendell grew up in Devon and joined the Royal Marines aged sixteen, going on to serve in the Special Boat Service.
In the 1970s Rendell was stationed in the Falkland Islands as part of Naval Party 8901.
It was during this time that he met and married Falkland Islander Phyl Oliver.
After working for six years in Saudi Arabia, Rendell returned to the Falklands in 1982, serving as a member of the Falkland Islands Defence Force.
