Mike Young (baseball)

Michael Darren Young (March 20, 1960 – May 28, 2023) was an American professional baseball player.

Young played all or part of eight seasons in Major League Baseball, from 1982 to 1989, mostly as an outfielder and designated hitter.

On May 28, 1987, Young became the fifth player in major league history to hit two extra-inning home runs in one game.

Young died of a heart attack in Atílio Vivacqua, Espírito Santo, Brazil while on a trip visiting his wife's in-laws on May 28, 2023, at the age of 63.
