With Ekaterina Sheremetieva, he is the 2007 ISU Junior Grand Prix Final silver medalist.

With later partner Tatiana Novik, he placed fourth at the 2010 World Junior Championships and took bronze at the 2010 International Cup of Nice.

[1] Sheremetieva broke her foot in 2006 and, as a result, the pair missed most of the 2006–2007 season.

[1] Although they placed third on the day, Sheremetieva/Kuznetsov were later awarded the silver medal from the 2007–08 ISU Junior Grand Prix Final following the retroactive disqualification of Vera Bazarova / Yuri Larionov due to a positive doping sample from Larionov.

They were coached by Nina Mozer in Moscow and split at the end of the 2010–11 season.
