The Clarion River forms the southern boundary of the township.

The racial makeup of the township was 94.74% White, 1.05% Native American, and 4.21% from two or more races.

31.8% of all households were made up of individuals, and 9.1% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.

There were 17.9% of families and 26.9% of the population living below the poverty line, including 66.7% of under eighteens and none of those over 64.
