Minturn Formation

The Minturn Formation is a geologic formation in Colorado.

It preserves fossils dating back to the Carboniferous period.

Among the fossils preserved are of crinoids, spiriferid brachiopods, gastropods, and the spines and teeth of numerous sharks such as Petalodus.
