Mir Ershad Ali is a two-star admiral in Bangladesh Navy.

Prior to this appointment, he served as director general of the Bangladesh Coast Guard.

He also served as chairman of Mongla Port Authority and commander of Bangladesh Navy Fleet.

Ali joined Bangladesh Navy in January 1987 in executive branch.

[4] He successfully completed Naval Officers' Basic Course from Germany and Gunnery Specialization Course from India.
