In 2010, the municipality declared to return to the international pageants.
In 2023, the 2022 Miss Bonaire, Ruby Pouchet, was sent to compete in Miss Grand International.
[3] The official winner of Miss Bonaire represents her country at the Miss Universe pageant.
On occasion, when the winner does not qualify (due to age) for either contest, a runner-up is sent.
