Mohamed Abdelmonem

Mohamed Abdelmonem El-Sayed Mohamed Ahmed (Arabic: مُحَمَّد عَبد الْمُنْعِم السَّيِّد مُحَمَّد أَحمَد; born 1 February 1999) is an Egyptian professional footballer who plays as a centre-back for Ligue 1 club Nice and the Egypt national team.

Abdelmonem began his career with the youth team of Al Ahly, before moving to Smouha on loan for a season and a half During that period, he caught the attention,[2] as he participated in 33 matches and succeeded in scoring two goals to return again to the Red Giants.

Abdelmonem left Al Ahly again on loan, but this time to Future, who did not stay with him for long, as the player only participated in 7 matches with the team, to shine, and Carlos Queiroz, the coach of the Egyptian national football team at the time, decided to include him in the ranks of the Pharaohs.

in addition to scoring a crucial equalizer against Wydad AC in the 2023 CAF Champions League final second leg which helped his team winning the title by 3–2 on aggregate.

[3] On 29 August 2024, Abdelmonem joined Ligue 1 side Nice by signing a contract until 2028.
