Mohammad-Reza Rahchamani

Mohammad-Reza Rahchamani (Persian: محمدرضا راه‌چمنی‎; 1 December 1952 – 9 March 2020) was an Iranian physician[1] and reformist politician.

[1] There is no record of imprisonment for him before the Iranian revolution, and he is not an Iran–Iraq War veteran.

[3] He was also a founding member of the Islamic Association of Iranian Medical Society.

[4] In 2020, as the secretary-general of the National Unity and Cooperation Party, he defied the decision of mainstream reformists for not taking part in the 2020 Iranian legislative election, by announcing a coalition of twelve reformist parties.

[5] Rahchamani died at the age of 67 due to complications from COVID-19 on 9 March 2020.
