Mohammad Azam (born 23 August 1975) is a Bangladeshi academic.
He is the current and 19th director general of Bangla Academy.
[1][2] Azam was born on 23 August 1975 in Noakhali District.
[3] Azam studied Bengali literature and graduated from University of Dhaka with a PhD degree.
[3] Azam is a professor in the Bengali department at the University of Dhaka and has been serving as the director general of Bangla Academy since 5 September 2024.
