Moldovan football clubs have participated in European football competitions since 1993.

In the 2024 rankings that are used for the 2025–26 European competitions, Moldova's coefficient points total is 13.125.
Moldova is ranked by UEFA as the 31st association in Europe out of 55.
As of 13 February 2025[6] As of 19 December 2024[1][2][3][4][5] Moldovan clubs have not yet faced opponents from Gibraltar and Kosovo.
