Mompha lacteella is a moth in the family Momphidae found in the Palearctic including Europe.

It has the same coloration as the thorax and is surrounded by tufts of protruding scales on the costal fold and near the inner edge of the wings.
Large tufts of protruding black scales are present in front of the centre and below the costal fold.
Opposite on the inner edge of the wing is a white spot that is distally provided with protruding scales.
In females, the genital armature of Mompha ochraceella differs by the wide and almost square lamella antevaginalis, the inverted V-shaped lamella postvaginalis, and the considerable sclerotization in the anterior part of the ductus bursae.
