Monika Lazar

Monika Lazar (born 13 September 1967) is a German politician of the Alliance 90/The Greens served as a member of the Bundestag from the state of Saxony from 2004 until 2021.

Lazar first became a member of the Bundestag in 2004, when she succeeded Antje Hermenau who had resigned her parliamentary seat.

[3] For her parliamentary group, Lazar served as spokesperson for sports policy and for strategies against right-wing extremism.

[4] Lazar announced that she would not stand in the 2021 federal elections but instead resign from active politics by the end of the parliamentary term.
