The Montana Tech Orediggers football program represents Montana Technological University in college football as members of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), as members of the Frontier Conference.

During the era of head coach Bob Green, Montana Tech had its most successful period ever in football.

[3] Following Green's retirement, Chuck Morrell, who had previously been the defensive coordinator at South Dakota, was hired as the Orediggers' new head coach.

[8] Morrell left the team following the 2019 season in order to take an assistant coaching job at NCAA Division I Fresno State.
