Mossendjo (can also be written as Mosenjo or Mosendjo) is a town and a commune[1] located in the Niari Department of the Republic of the Congo.

It is divided into 2 urban boroughs (arrondissements): The town lies on the Mbinda branch of the Congo railway system.

[citation needed] Mossendjo Airport has regularly scheduled airline service to Pointe Noire and Brazzaville, via Air Maouene.

Some mineral explorations for iron, gold and diamonds occur throughout the department but no commercial mines are in production.

Little agricultural production occurs in the Mossendjo-Mbinda sector apart from gathering of bananas and local forest fruits.
