Released first in the US and Japan MotoGP is a racing game featuring motorcycles and riders seen in the 2005 MotoGP season with the cover featuring Rossi on his 2005 Gauloises liveried bike.

The game was adjusted for the later European release becoming the game of the 2006 season with it's updated bikes, riders, and liveries, this time with Rossi on his 2006 Camel liveried bike on the cover, the previous 2005 season content was included as a 'BONUS' selectable season on the European release.
